About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Travel Consultant - Sales to join our dynamic and global team. This position is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career in travel and gain hands-on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace. This role is a target-based, fast paced one, which requires you to be a travel consultant, understand the customer’s travel needs and expectations and thereon, create high-quality, tailor-made itineraries.


Key Responsibilities

Sales and Client Engagement:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor, offering personalized travel consultations via phone, email, and in person.
  • Craft bespoke itineraries tailored to individual travel preferences.
  • Maintain a high conversion rate of leads to bookings, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with our sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and seamless processes for internal reporting.
  • Provide timely follow-up and support to clients, from initial inquiry to post-trip feedback.
  • Handle invoicing and monitor payments with precision and professionalism.


Planning and Development:

  • Contribute to product development and website content, including translation efforts.
  • Partner with marketing for travel fairs and promotional events.
  • Actively participate in travel fairs, events, and local initiatives.
  • Offer insights and assistance in creating package tours for our operations team.
  • Continuously expand your destination knowledge through self-learning and participation in workshops.

Job Requirements

To Succeed in the Role, You Should Have:

  • Fluency in (Swiss) German and English is a must, Japanese language skills are a plus.
  • Knowledge of Japan as destination, with familiarity in other Asian destinations preferred.
  • Previous customer service and/or sales experience in the travel industry is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience with GDS systems (Amadeus) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated understanding of invoicing processes.
