About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Travel Consultant - Sales to join our dynamic and global team. This position is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career in travel and gain hands-on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace. This role is a target-based, fast paced one, which requires you to be a travel consultant, understand the customer’s travel needs and expectations and thereon, create high-quality, tailor-made itineraries.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Client Engagement:

Serve as a trusted advisor, offering personalized travel consultations via phone, email, and in person.

Craft bespoke itineraries tailored to individual travel preferences.

Maintain a high conversion rate of leads to bookings, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction.

Collaborate closely with our sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.

Ensure accurate documentation and seamless processes for internal reporting.

Provide timely follow-up and support to clients, from initial inquiry to post-trip feedback.

Handle invoicing and monitor payments with precision and professionalism.

Planning and Development:

Contribute to product development and website content, including translation efforts.

Partner with marketing for travel fairs and promotional events.

Actively participate in travel fairs, events, and local initiatives.

Offer insights and assistance in creating package tours for our operations team.

Continuously expand your destination knowledge through self-learning and participation in workshops.

Job Requirements

To Succeed in the Role, You Should Have:

  • Previous customer service and/or sales experience in the travel industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Japan, with familiarity in other Asian destinations preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ideally, experience with GDS systems (Amadeus preferred).
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, with Japanese language skills as a bonus.
  • Demonstrated understanding of invoicing processes.
