Job Requirements

Key Activities


  • Sales and clients
  • Provide travel consultation for customers travelling to Japan or to other destinations via phone, email and in person to identify their individual expectations
  • Create high-quality, tailor-made itineraries based on travel needs
  • Work to achieve sales targets with the sales team
  • Input of customer’s necessary information in quotation sheet with strict guidelines
  • Close cooperation with operations team, follow processes for internal reporting
  • Creation and delivery of unique, high-quality proposals and travel documents
  • Follow-up with customers in a timely manner
  • Invoice and Monitor payments from customers
  • Work as a team player in the sales team and with easy handover in case of absence
  • Sharing Emergency Duty among team (24 hour)
  • Any other reasonable tasks


  • Planning and development
  • Translation related to product development and website content
  • Cooperation with marketing, preparation for travel fairs and regular campaigns
  • Participation in travel fairs, promotional events, and local activities
  • Provide package tours (FIT or Guided tours) to the operation team
  • Self-learning of new destinations
  • Participating in workshops and inspection tours and share destination knowledge within the team


  • Outcomes and KPIs
  • Consistently achieve individual and team sales targets
  • Consistent high conversion rate of active leads to bookings with high client satisfaction and a minimal level of complaints and errors.


TO SUCCEED IN THE ROLE, YOU SHOULD HAVE


Knowledge/Skills

  • Previous customer service and/or sales experience from the travel industry
  • Must have thorough knowledge of Japan. Preferred to have knowledge of other Asian destinations we sell.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and maintain a good relationship with them and colleagues
  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office
  • Fluent in local language and English, Japanese preferred
  • General GDS skills (preferred Amadeus)
  • Experience and understanding of invoicing


Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years in the travel industry in sales in B2C market
