The Job


Reporting to the Sales Manager Oslo, the Account Executive will generate business from US/Canadian markets (specific areas/markets to be specified), develop the sales and the portfolio of active clients.


We are looking for a superstar, who can generate business, investigate new products and activities for university clients, provide onsite support on client trips and partake in engaging marketing activities. Someone who can build rapport with clients easily, is keen to hunt for new business and organised in developing current accounts.


Key Activities


Sales activities


  • Generate Education business using Tumlare network in Europe or GBU network outside of Europe
  • Keep close communication with our local offices and make sure confirmed business is operated smoothly
  • Investigate new products or activities to be promoted to University clients, in coordination with our destination offices
  • On-site support on client trips worldwide (1-3 per year depending on the client – past destinations include Australia, Japan, Dubai, London and Taiwan), travel workshops and fairs in the USA.
  • Responsible for Marketing activities on his/her markets


Sales reports & administrative tasks


  • Responsible for checking the business profitability in coordination with the Revenue Control dept
  • Ensure strict revenue control of the tours using company systems – DOS & BIS

  • Need to follow-up the portfolio of active clients and look for new clients
  • Need to have a strong knowledge of the market situation and competition to ensure that our products are adapted to the clients requirements


Sales reports & administrative tasks


Need to provide accurate and consistent reporting to the management, take quick action when needed


Job Requirements

Requirements


  • Strong experience in Travel or Hotel Industry, international experience is an asset
  • University Degree - ideally in Tourism and Travel Business or equivilent
  • Job evaluation experience
  • Deep understanding of the travel industry and market situation
  • Good technical skills in Microsoft Office – Word/Excel/PPT
  • Fluent English language skills – written, speaking and reading
  • Motivated and positive attitude
  • Ability to think outside the box to solve problems
  • Ability to organize and manage simultaneous projects with a strong attention to timeliness and detail
  • Strong communication skills, at internal level with colleagues and external level with clients
  • Self-organised, ability to make sales trips and visits to clients if needed
  • Strong time management, organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Detailed oriented, capacity to check work and tours in the systems
  • Hybrid, Office is located in Central Oslo
