About the role

Our Destination Management services form the core of our business. Together with our destination experts, our sales and account management teams generate business by partnering with our customers (Tour Operators, Travel Agencies) to shape exciting itineraries suited to their travellers’ needs. We take care of everything from ground support, hotel bookings, sightseeing, restaurants, and local guides; all while providing 24/7 customer support so that travellers from over 50 countries can enjoy memorable travel experiences worry free.

This is a full-time on-site role for an Intern or Trainee located in Zürich. The Trainee will support Hotel Procurement and MICE but may also assist Hotel Reservations or land services procurement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gaining proficiency on company systems (DOS / QUOS), to cooperate with Operations and Customer Service teams (checking service timing and itineraries, booking and confirming various services, and budget control - tours vary from mass production leisure series tours to organized ad-hoc tours of various sizes - origin of tours are from Asian countries and America).

  • Checking that service code/suppliers and conditions are correct

  • Checking service/route availability depending on seasonality 

  • Review itineraries for feasibility in terms of timing and routing

  • Supporting the teams in order to select the appropriate suppliers suitable for the tour and to book and confirm services efficiently and accurately

  • Assisting in the use of some supplier's online system (Rail service will be required to issue tickets at finalization of the tour)

  • Supporting the Customer Service team for any necessary troubleshooting when clients are on the road

  • Supporting in related duties such as master data maintenance and other administrative tasks as required

  • Duration: at least 6 months up to December 2026

Job Requirements

Knowledge

  • Qualified degree (BA) in Travel/Tourism or Business Studies

  • Knowledge of Swiss Culture and Switzerland as a destination (essential)

  • understanding of the travel industry and market requirements

  • Good technical skills in Microsoft Office – Word/Excel/PPT

  • Fluent in English, German and any additional language is a plus

 

Skills

  • Very organized, able to prioritize tasks

  • Ability to work under a lot of pressure

  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various teams (with regards to language, as well as to cultural differences)

  • Team spirit, ability to work within a group

 

Experience

  • Previous experience in travel industry/customer service (desirable)

  • Experience in working with various IT programs used in travel industry
