Tour Coordinator

Job description


The role of a Tour coordinator is an exciting role that supports the coordination of our travelers to destinations in Central Europe. It gives you a chance to shape programs and itineraries, book various services for the visitors and coordinate the overall experience of the travelers.


You will be a part of Destination Team Central Europe (covering Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary) with part of your co-workers in Prague and part of the team in Budapest. Cross communication and a lot of learning for sure!

Job requirements



  • Preparing bookings, confirmations, request replies, special arrangements for all types of groups and series tours within the countries of Destination Central Europe
  • Securing cancellation within deadline
  • Double-checking and coordination of all services
  • Keeping Sales daily updated on the operation
  • Providing (in shifts) 24 h Emergency phone service for all groups in the area
  • Overall responsibility of revenue (BIS on tour-level)
  • Ensure that all rates, details and booking status are correctly updated in the system
  • Keeping deadlines according to general company policy
  • Securing quality control
  • Preparation of documents according to Tumlare policies (final ITI, vouchers, etc.)
  • Must obtain a thorough knowledge of and ability to use Tumlare IT systems
  • Emergency and Trouble reporting as per operation rules
  • Backup tasks within team
  • Ad hoc assignments

Revenue management:

  • Revenue control, securing maximum margins for land services
  • Master updated based on Product and Development team request
  • Follow up on over budget situations

Sales and Clients:

  • Close communication with Sales Offices about supplier bookings
  • Close communication with different Suppliers
  • Close communication with Product and Development teams
  • Close communication with other company departments


  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Solid computer skills
  • Experience in tourism, the travel industry
  • English language skills, both oral and written (min. B2 level)
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, precise, proactive
  • Good negotiation and time management skills, especially during high season
  • Team player and revenue-focused attitude
  • Meeting deadlines and ability to work according to specific procedures
