Job Purpose

Researching, booking and operating Restaurant and Vehicle services primarily for AdHoc Tours for JTB Europe clients

Reporting and key relationships:

  • Directly report to Land dept. A. Manager
  • Closely work with the Land section team based at the office (other 4 staff)
  • Direct contact on a daily basis with UK restaurant and vehicle suppliers
  • Sourcing and booking of vehicles and restaurants for ad-hoc tours
  • Handling any amendments or cancellations of these services in a timely fashion
  • Telephone reconfirmation of ad-hoc restaurants the day before service
  • Negotiate rates for special budget tours and favorable terms for cancellation charges with suppliers, to minimize costs and maximize profits
  • Keep up to date with daily assignments to ensure all bookings are made within the required time scale.
  • Restaurant and vehicle quotations for ad-hoc inquiries
  • Some restaurant and vehicle costing at quotation stage for Series Tours
  • Updating information for the database for restaurants on an annual basis
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with suppliers, to facilitate operations and ensure optimum levels of customer service
  • Monitor the performance of vehicles and restaurants, through feedback from customers, inspection visits etc, to provide information for assessment and contracting
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure that all customers’ requests are properly carried out.
  • Deal with any problems that arise at any stage in the booking process through liaison with suppliers, management and other internal departments to find an appropriate solution

Job requirements

Knowledge

  • Fluent English language skills
  • Computer literacy
  • UK and Ireland Geography / product knowledge
  • Knowledge of Japanese an advantage
