We are looking for a Senior Sales Development Manager to drive Leisure and/or MICE business to Croatia and the Balkans. You will focus on growing our client portfolio, achieving defined sales targets, and promoting our own products across multiple channels. This role requires a proactive, well-connected professional with strong sales skills and industry knowledge.

Key activities:

·       Generate business to Croatia and surrounding countries

·       Responsible for enlarging the portfolio of KuoniTumlare clients

·       Drive sales development and performance for defined Key Accounts in coordination with other sales units

·       Ensure follow-up on sales activities and research market for new clients and client opportunities

·       Participate in sales trips, travel workshops, and fairs locally and internationally

·       Lead and execute marketing activities to support sales objectives.

·       Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.

·       Provide monthly sales reports, including analysis of market conditions and sales activities.

·       Plan and implement sales delivery targets and KPI’s.

·       Identify and pursue business opportunities arising from local tourism board initiatives and EU-funded projects

·       Propose innovative sales strategies based on market intelligence and external opportunities

·       Utilise digital tools and platforms for market research, opportunity tracking, and client management

·       Accompany and lead clients for the critical site inspections and On-site project coordination

·       Collaborate closely with the Country Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company strategy.

·       Adapt quickly to changing market conditions and proactively address challenges and opportunities.

Job Requirements

We Are Looking for a Person With:

·       Ideally 10+ years of progressive experience in sales within the travel, tourism, or hospitality sectors.

·       Proven track record in B2B sales, client acquisition, revenue growth, and long-term relationship management.

·       Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit, strategic thinking, and determination to drive business results and open new markets.

·       Fluency in Croatian and English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is considered an advantage.

·       Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and negotiate effectively at all levels.

·       Expertise in active sales techniques, including leading sales meetings, presentations, and workshops.

·       Strong ability to research, identify, and secure partnerships or grants through local tourism authorities, government agencies, and EU funding schemes.

·       Willingness and ability to travel regularly for industry events, trade fairs, client meetings, and site inspections, both locally and internationally.

·       Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional and multicultural teams, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

·       Financial literacy, with experience in managing budgets, forecasting, and analysing sales performance metrics.

·      Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for market research, opportunity tracking, client management, and reporting.

·      A proactive approach to monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.

·      Ability to work closely with and report to the Country Manager
