The Job:

Operations and sales support activities: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to join our team in a dynamic role that involves managing proposals and cost estimations, coordinating directly with university partners, and overseeing the execution of educational tours. The role also includes providing occasional travel logistics support for Executive MBA (EMBA) groups.

  • Directly report to Operations Manager, Boston, MA

  • Closely work with Tumlare employees, as well as Third Party Suppliers, at destination offices worldwide – Operations, Purchasing and hotel depts.

  • Communicate directly with clients, travel agents and/or corporate clients via email, phone and pre-scheduled video calls

  • Work closely with Sales assistants/Sales operations

  • Ability to organize and manage simultaneous projects with a strong attention to timeliness and detail with limited supervision

Key Activities

Sales activities

o   Generate Education business using Tumlare network in Europe or GBU network outside of Europe

o   Keep close communication with our local offices and make sure confirmed business is operated smoothly

o   Investigate new products or activities to be promoted to University clients, in coordination with our destination offices

o   On-site support on client trips worldwide (1-3 per year depending on the client – past destinations include Australia, Japan, Dubai, London and Taiwan), travel workshops and fairs in the USA.

o   Responsible for Marketing activities on his/her markets

 

Sales reports & administrative tasks

o   Responsible for checking the business profitability in coordination with the Revenue Control dept

o   Ensure strict revenue control of the tours using company systems – DOS & BIS

 

Job Requirements

Knowledge:

  • University Degree - ideally in Tourism and Travel Business

  • Job evaluation experience

  • Deep understanding of the travel industry and market situation

  • Good technical skills in Microsoft Office – Word/Excel/PPT

  • Fluent English language skills – written, speaking and reading

 

Skills:  

   

  • Very well organized, able to prioritize tasks and work with deadlines in multiple time zones

  • Ability to work under pressure from the clients

  • Leadership and excellent communication skills to collaborate with our destination offices

  • Ability to think outside the box to solve problems

  • Ability to organize and manage simultaneous projects with a strong attention to timeliness and detail

 

Experience:

  • Strong experience in Travel or Hotel Industry, international experience preferably in the education field
