About the Business / Function
Our Destination Management services form the core of our business. Together with our destination experts, our sales teams generate business and shape itineraries suited to our customers’ needs with real-time insider knowledge. We take care of everything from ground support, hotel bookings, sightseeing, restaurants, and local guides; all while providing 24/7 customer support so that travelers from over 50 countries can enjoy memorable travel experiences worry free.
About the Role
The primary role of Sales Manager is to develop business opportunities along our corporate strategy. Leading a sales team, the jobholder demonstrates strong sales leadership through coaching and managing, accountable for achieving GOP (gross operating profit) results of the team, in line with sales revenue and margin targets as defined by the budget.
Key Responsibilities
Sales strategy and planning: Links corporate strategy & goals to daily business activity. Analyses the business & assesses business challenges and opportunities. Defines strategic priorities to deliver market growth and competitive advantage. Builds business plans to achieve targets. Manages all stages of the sales pipeline. Utilises resources effectively.
Sales leadership: Demonstrates team leadership. Outlines sales vision for sales area & team. Communicates strategic priorities to generate understanding and commitment. Adopts positive & professional attitude and appearance at all times. Organizes and leads regular internal sales meetings and attends and participates in management meetings.
Sales coaching & managing performance: Primary coaching responsibility for own direct reports, in line with SalesMAP principles. Defines team and individual goals and targets. Builds sales capability within the team, profiles individuals to develop skills and attitude. Runs effective sales team meetings. Identifies performance gaps and provides effective feedback to develop performance.
Business development: develops own sets of clients with individual budget target.
Responsible for DSO (daily sales outstanding) for own team or assigned accounts.
Responsible for assigned market and client development; sales revenue and profit target; staff development
Ensures business transactions are in accordance with the company policies
Project work as per individual assignment

We Are Looking for a Person is:
Diploma or above in Tourism/Business Management or related disciplines
5+ years’ experience from a multinational organization driving sales revenue and managing a sales team, of which at least 2 years at supervisory level. Sales experience form the travel or hospitality industry preferred but we are open to other industries with a strong customer service focus such as Supply Chain, Airlines, etc.
Track record in planning and project management, driving sales revenue, negotiations and leading a sales team.
