The Job


The Destination Services Procurement Manager (DS Procurement Manager) is responsible to effectively source and manage lodging inventory in assigned destinations and own all aspects of the commercial relationship with partner suppliers.


This role requires efficient content aggregation of a large supplier portfolio in a geographically wide
region. The candidate will need to deal with multiple tasks at the same time and have a high level of understanding, empathy to communicate closely to employee, suppliers and clients.


• Contracting of all land services (restaurants, guides, monuments, coach transportation and others) in
accordance with market plan and contracting guidelines, all within agreed deadlines
• Ensure correctness, completeness and competitiveness of signed contracts
• Day-to-day communication with business partners in assigned region by telephone, by email and in
person to assist with the development of our business
• Travel when needed: on site inspections and mystery shopping, trade show attendance, partners
meeting
• Effective communication with business partners to ensure they are fully briefed on all contract details,
relevant business processes & services
• Monitor performance in the assigned market and put forward recommendations to DS Procurement
Lead to ensure targets are met or exceeded
• Constant scouting to identify new commercial opportunities and partners within assigned regions that will help improve business
• Implement marketing partnership with suppliers whenever applicable

Job Requirements

Requirements



• Ideally 5 years' previous contracting, business development, account or revenue management experience, ideally in travel industry
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to interact and influence at all levels of an organization
• Verbal and written English proficiency at business level required. Good written and verbal
communication and presentation skills in market languages
• Ability to develop and present relevant analysis, including performance analysis, market trends and
competitor analysis, in order to implement meaningful action plans based on the analysis
• Demonstrated ability to establish and adhere to priorities in a fast pace environment and work
independently
• IT proficiency including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet technologies
• Driven to succeed with a professional "can do" attitude and work ethic

• Creative, positive, can work under pressure and keep a cool head

• Self-motivated and able to work independently
