Japanspecialist is specializing in full-scale tailor-made travel packages to Japan, with sales both trough B2B as well as B2C channels. We are currently present in 6 countries in Europe: Denmark, Hungary, Spain, Netherlands, Italy and France.

We look for the best talent to fill our exciting openings in our central operation center and seek qualified candidates to apply for full-time positions as:

OPERATION TRAVEL CONSULTANT

The travel consultants in the operation center have the overall responsibility of the quotation and booking of various products and packages in the Japanspecialist portfolio. They are in a close cooperation with the Japanspecialist Sales consultants in various markets, they monitor the best available deals, prepare the offers, manage the bookings and finalize the detailed itinerary and travel documents. Operation travel consultants provide a support function for the sales teams, internal and third-party suppliers in Japan suppliers and internal finance teams.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Create new and existing products and packages (FIT and Group)
• Prepare and follow-up quotation, travel offer and itineraries
• Book all services in the itinerary and arrange payment to suppliers
• Prepare deposit, final invoice for sales
• Prepare all travel documents
• Negotiate and communicate with suppliers
• Provide and prepare necessary information for internal finance team
• Report to the operation manager

Requirements:

• College or university degree
•  Destination knowledge of Japan. Other Asian countries are advantage
• General GDS skills (preferred Amadeus)
• Experience in Quotation, booking and itinerary building
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Sharepoint)
• Experience and understanding of invoicing and back-office processes
• Service-minded, flexible, team player personality with international mindset
• Able to work under pressure

Language skills:

• Fluent in English
• Speaking Japanese is an advantage. (Japanese native speaker applicants are welcomed to apply if they are fluent in one of the above languages as well.)

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years in the travel industry in operation in B2C/B2B market
