IT Support Specialist

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to users regarding hardware, software, and network-related issues. This role involves troubleshooting and diagnosing technical problems, ensuring smooth operation of computer systems, and maintaining IT infrastructure.

Role Requirements / Skills & Qualifications:

• Provide technical support for desktop systems, including hardware and software troubleshooting.

• Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.

• Assist with the deployment and management of operating systems and applications.

• Respond to and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.

• Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless support and service delivery.

• Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.

• Provide training and guidance to end-users on best practices and usage of desktop systems.

• Participate in IT projects and initiatives as required.

• Log all tickets in ITSM tool

• Keeping server room reasonably tidy, secure and free from unused devices or furniture

Knowledge

• Proven experience as a Desktop Specialist or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows) and common software applications.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with network protocols and configurations.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
