YOUR ROLE

 

This is a temporary position (8 months) to cover a maternity leave.

Based in Madrid and supporting both the Madrid and Barcelona offices, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the HR function in Spain, supporting approximately 140 employees.

This role has a strong operational HR focus, ensuring HR processes run efficiently while supporting managers and employees across a range of people matters. You will work closely with the regional HR team and local stakeholders to maintain effective HR operations, ensure compliance with Spanish labor legislation and support the delivery of key HR initiatives

Your Team

  • You will report to the Head of HR Europe, Russia & Americas

  • You will work closely with the regional HR team and HR specialist functions across Europe

  • You will manage and collaborate with the local HR team in Spain (1 HR team member)

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

HR Operations & Administration

  • Ensure the smooth running of day-to-day HR operations in Spain

  • Manage the employee lifecycle processes including onboarding and offboarding

  • Support end-to-end recruitment processes in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition team. Conduct candidate screenings and recruitment coordination

  • Maintain relationships with universities and internship programs

  • Prepare and manage employment contracts, contract amendments and HR documentation

  • Coordinate social security registrations and administrative employee set-up

  • Grant and manage employee access to internal systems and tools

  • Support the preparation of HR reports, audits and people metrics

Employee Relations & Manager Support

  • Act as a first point of contact for managers and employees on HR-related matters

  • Provide guidance on employee relations topics, performance management and workplace issues

  • Help ensure a fair and positive employee experience

HR Processes, Policies & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain HR policies and procedures in line with Spanish labor legislation

  • Ensure compliance with local employment law and internal HR standards

  • Support the implementation of HR initiatives and improvements to HR processes

Employee Engagement & HR Communication

  • Support and coordinate internal HR communications

  • Organize employee engagement activities and local events

  • Contribute to initiatives that support a positive workplace culture

Job Requirements

TO SUCCEED IN THE ROLE, YOU SHOULD HAVE:

 

  • Solid HR Generalist / HR Operations experience in a fast-paced environment, concretely in HR administration, employee lifecycle processes and recruitment coordination

  • Strong hands-on HR experience in Spain, including knowledge of Spanish employment legislation

  • Experience working in an international company environment

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Good knowledge of HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and payroll tools (Deel is a plus)

  • Good Excel skills

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

  • Native Spanish and fluent English (written and spoken)
