About the function
Our Destination Management services form the core of our business. Together with our destination experts, our sales and account management teams generate business by partnering with our customers (Tour Operators, Travel Agencies) to shape exciting itineraries suited to their traveler’s needs. We take care of everything from ground support, hotel bookings, sightseeing, restaurants, and local guides; all while providing 24/7 customer support so that travelers from over 50 countries can enjoy memorable travel experiences worry free.
About the Role
The Role of Hotel Reservations Team Support is to help out and support the Hotel Reservations Team. The position is limited in time, it’s ideal for entry level candidates, who will receive training on the job from the team members to be enabled to independently support the team during high season. The Hotel Reservations Support learns how to operate DOS System, all MS Office Tools, answering E-Mails from Hotels and internal Sales Team. You will learn to set priorities, learn more about cost awareness and negotiation techniques, so that you will be able to negotiate favorable hotel rates and learn more about prepayments and cancellation policy.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the Hotel Reservations Team with administrative tasks, such as confirming reservations within deadlines, ensuring the daily priorities as defined by supervisor
Ensure priority list, check update and new coming tours
Support in the optimization of web booking tool to avoid overbooking
Optional: negotiate rates, supplements, free pax policy, prepayments, and cancellation policy
To succeed in the role you should have
Any previous experience in any customer service field is desirable
Good written and verbal English skills (essential)
Good written and spoken level of German and an additional Swiss language (French/Italian)
Basic destination and culture knowledge for Switzerland (essential)
Computer literature – experience in working with Microsoft packages (desirable)
