About the Business
Our Destination Management services form the core of our business. We take care of everything from ground support, hotel bookings, sightseeing, restaurants, and local guides; all while providing 24/7 customer support so that travelers from over 50 countries can enjoy memorable travel experiences worry free.
About the Role
As Hotel Procurement Manager – North Italy, you will manage a section of Kuoni Tumlare’s contracted hotel portfolio. You will develop and implement procurement strategies (Tier 1 & 2), translating them into medium- and long-term plans in collaboration with the Head of Hotel Procurement.
This role requires cross-functional collaboration and strong supplier relationship management to ensure delivery of competitive and customer-suitable products across varying demand cycles.
Key Responsibilities
· Report directly to the Head of Procurement
· Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders (Procurement, Reservation, Accounting, MICE, Sales, Operations)
· Regional Portfolio Management:
· Ensure sales expectations are met with a competitive product portfolio and inventory
· Facilitate exclusive agreements with key suppliers and hotel chains
· Manage internal communication flows across teams
· Handle escalated reservation and accounting matters
KPIs & Reporting:
· Define and monitor KPIs in collaboration with the Head of Procurement
· Identify and mitigate business risks proactively
· Participate in destination reviews and act as the regional sales contact
· Lead regional calls with key sales offices
· Manage quotations and negotiations for the region
Job Requirements
Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years in a senior management role in hotel contracting, business development, account or revenue management (preferably in hospitality or travel)
· In-depth knowledge of the North Italy region with a strong network of hotel contacts
· Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills (Italian and English, business level)
· Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time
· University degree or equivalent in a related field
· Proven ability to:
o Operate effectively in dynamic environments
o Drive strategic plans and achieve objectives
o Build senior-level relationships and manage internal/external resources
· IT proficiency
