The candidate can be based anywhere in EU as long as they have full working rights and speak the local language. We do not provide sponsorship for this role.

We are seeking an experienced Head of Marketplace Strategy & Revenue Optimization to lead the development and execution of our hotel marketplace and overall marketplace project. This role involves:

  • Optimizing our product portfolio to ensure a strong and competitive marketplace offering.

  • Developing sales and distribution strategies to enhance revenue generation and maximize market penetration.

  • Implementing revenue and pricing strategies to drive dynamic, data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in revenue management, online marketplaces, and digital distribution in the travel industry.

  1. Product Portfolio & Marketplace Optimization

Develop and maintain a comprehensive and competitive product portfolio within Kuoni Tumlare’s destination offerings and partnerships.

Monitor supply and demand across different regions and product categories to maintain a balanced marketplace.

Collaborate with Sales & Account Management teams to onboard high-value supply partners and negotiate optimal commission structures.

Identify opportunities to enhance platform performance using AI-driven pricing and inventory management tools.

 

2. Sales & Distribution Strategy

Develop new online sales markets in collaboration with Destination General Managers.

Strengthen existing sales channels with input from regional sales leaders.

Oversee the digital transformation of marketplace sales, ensuring seamless partner integration and an optimized customer experience.

3. Revenue & Pricing Strategy

Design and implement dynamic pricing models to optimize revenue for both Kuoni Tumlare and its partners.

Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and demand fluctuations to adjust strategies accordingly.

Establish rules-based pricing mechanisms and promotional strategies to drive efficiency and profitability.

Conduct A/B testing and performance tracking to refine revenue strategies over time.

 

4. Data Analysis & Performance Tracking

Utilize data analytics and forecasting models to track revenue performance, conversion rates, and booking trends.

Generate regular insights for senior management and supply partners to drive strategic decisions.

Use tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and revenue management software (e.g., Duetto, IDeaS, RMS Cloud) to optimize data-driven pricing and distribution.

 

5. Partner Collaboration & Relationship Management

Advise partners on pricing strategies and revenue management best practices.

Support supply partners in optimizing their inventory and rate structures to maximize bookings.

Conduct training sessions and workshops on revenue management principles to elevate partner capabilities.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in revenue management, marketplace optimization, or digital distribution, preferably in hospitality, travel, or e-commerce.

  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in revenue management software and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

  • In-depth knowledge of hotel pricing models, distribution channels, and market dynamics.

  • Experience working with online travel agencies (OTAs), marketplaces, or travel tech platforms.

  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to balance short-term revenue goals with long-term marketplace growth.

  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills with hotel partners and internal stakeholders.

  • Degree in Revenue Management, Business, Economics, Hospitality Management, or a related field
