The Job:
As Group Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting of all subsidiary entities within the JTB Europe Group and preparing consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant group reporting while supporting subsidiaries worldwide. Operating in a truly international environment, you will collaborate with teams across multiple regions and cultures. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys a dynamic, multinational workplace and wants to grow their career in group finance and consolidation.
Lead key activities within the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing cycles.
Prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
Oversee the reporting of subsidiary entities to ensure compliance with group accounting standards and reporting requirements.
Maintain and further develop the Group Accounting Manual and related guidance.
Support subsidiaries in meeting group-wide reporting requirements, including matters related to the consolidation system (Oracle Hyperion Financial Management – HFM / Enterprise Performance Management - EPM).
Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior stakeholders, including the Group CFO and headquarters in Japan.
Contribute to projects aimed at improving data quality, reporting processes, and financial controls.
Support the annual group audit and coordinate with external auditors.
Participate in ad‑hoc analysis, initiatives, and group-level finance projects.
Job Requirements
We are looking for Someone Who:
University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CIMA (or equivalent) are highly desirable.
Preferably 3–5 years of experience in group accounting, consolidation, or financial reporting.
Strong knowledge of IFRS.
Advanced skills in MS Excel and solid proficiency with MS Office applications.
Working knowledge of HFM / EPM (Oracle Hyperion Financial Management / Enterprise Performance Management) and/or Microsoft Dynamics AX is a significant advantage.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
