About the role:

Are you a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive individual with a passion for travel? We are seeking a Travel Consultant in Operations to join our team and help deliver exceptional travel experiences to our customers.

In this role, you will be the backbone of the operational process, ensuring that every aspect of our clients’ trips runs smoothly from planning through execution. You will collaborate closely with the sales team, partners, and service providers to make sure every journey meets our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Activities

Planning and development

  • Create and review new and existing products and packages to ensure they meet the needs of our customers.
  • Develop and update quotation and itinerary templates for both new and existing products.
  • Participate in travel fairs, destination workshops to gain insider knowledge and expand your destination expertise, especially for Japan.
  • Collaborate closely with the local sales team to ensure products align with market-specific needs.
  • Take a proactive approach to continuous learning and development, sharing new product and destination knowledge with colleagues to drive team excellence.

Operations

  • Provide a streamlined workflow, ensuring that inquiries are promptly responded to and correctly filed.
  • Work closely with the Sales team to prepare travel offers, calculate pricing, and finalize itineraries for FIT arrangements.
  • Book all services in the itinerary and arrange payments with suppliers.
  • Prepare client’s travel documents, ensure the accuracy of travel arrangements prior to tour to ensure smooth trip execution.
  • Liaise with suppliers, ensuring successful trip execution.
  • Provide necessary information to the internal finance team for payments


Job Requirements

TO SUCCEED IN THE ROLE, YOU SHOULD HAVE

Knowledge/Skills

  • Fluent German and English (business-level), both written and spoken are a must; Japanese language knowledge is a big advantage.
  • Strong technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in quotation, booking, and itinerary building for individual and/or group travel services.
  • Knowledge of Japanese language and Japan as a destination are a great advantage.
  • GDS skills, with Amadeus experience are a plus

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the travel industry, focusing on individual and/or group tour operations.
