About the Business
Our Destination Management services form the core of our business. Together with our destination experts, our sales and account management teams generate business by partnering with our customers (Tour Operators, Travel Agencies) to shape exciting itineraries suited to their traveler’s needs. We take care of everything from ground support, hotel bookings, sightseeing, restaurants, and local guides; all while providing 24/7 customer support so that travelers from over 50 countries can enjoy memorable travel experiences worry free.
About the Role
The Destination Services Procurement Manager (DS Procurement Manager) is responsible for sourcing, contracting and managing destination services within assigned regions, ensuring high quality standards, competitive pricing and strong commercial performance.
The role owns the commercial relationship with suppliers and contributes to the achievement of company targets by maximizing margins, supporting sales activities and promoting the destination offering through a high-quality and competitive supplier portfolio.
Key activities:
Contract all destination services (restaurants, transportation and other land services) in line with market plans, contracting guidelines and agreed timelines
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, competitiveness and compliance of all contracted services
• Manage day-to-day relationships with business partners in assigned regions, ensuring alignment with company quality standards
• Monitor supplier performance, proactively addressing quality issues and ensuring consistency with company service expectations
• Support Sales teams through timely and accurate quotations, contributing to conversion and revenue growth
• Actively contribute to destination promotion by identifying and developing attractive, market-relevant services and experiences
• Identify and develop commercial opportunities, including negotiation of exclusive products and added-value services to strengthen market positioning
• Drive margin optimization by securing the best possible commercial conditions and ensuring cost efficiency aligned with company targets
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations and Finance to ensure alignment between sourcing, pricing and delivery
• Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships, including the implementation of marketing and commercial initiatives when relevant
Complexity
• Management of a large and diverse supplier portfolio across multiple destinations
• Balancing multiple priorities including contracting deadlines, sales support and operational requirements
• Requires strong commercial judgement, negotiation skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• High level of interaction with internal and external stakeholders across functions and markets
• Requires strong understanding of destinations, market dynamics and customer expectations
• Availability to travel up to 25%
Job Requirements
Knowledge, skills and experience
• 5 years of experience in contracting, procurement, business development or account management in the travel industry
• Strong negotiation and commercial skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to support sales through pricing, quotations and commercial solutions
• Strong analytical skills, including performance monitoring, market and competitor analysis
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
• Ability to manage priorities, work independently and perform under pressure
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and relevant systems
• Results-driven mindset with a proactive and solution-oriented approach
