About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Japanese speaker to join our dynamic team. This position is well suited to an individual who is looking to create and plan exceptional leisure and luxury itineraries for our inhouse JTB tours, within the UK, Ireland, and Benelux region. This is a great opportunity for anyone with an operational background to develop into a destination planning role, by working alongside our hotel and service procurement teams, operations teams, and Japan sales teams to build, recommend, and plan outstanding experiences for our clients, and help promote our destinations to key stake holders.
This role is full time and offers hybrid working. Office attendance is required 2 days a week: Tuesday and Wednesdays. Our office is based in Aldgate, London.
Key Responsibilities
- Analysis of previous seasons tours to make recommendations for future planning.
- Checking logistics of tours for feasibility.
- Utilizing portfolio of contracted services to build and develop touring itineraries, within budget.
- Liaising with other internal departments and suppliers to create and develop itineraries, within budget.
- Researching relevant and unique products to compliment client’s requirements.
- Updating in house systems with accurate tour and cost details.
- Creating destination promotional material.
- Projects as specified by team manager.
Job Requirements
To Succeed in the Role, You Should Have:
- Must be fluent in Japanese and English (both written and verbal).
- Understanding of Japanese market requirements.
- Experience in planning or operating group tours.
- Strong destination knowledge of UK, Ireland, and/or Benelux regions advantageous.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Programs.
