About the Job:


We are looking for a dynamic leader to Head up our office in Prague, Czech Republic and Hungary. Someone who is well connected in the industry, has strong knowledge of the destination and is experienced in leading a team and driving growth in the market.


Key activities


  • To establish and develop relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their business
  • requirements for product and service and acting as a point of contact in the development of CZ and Hungary
  • Responsible to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and overall smooth operations across all the destination operations and procurement teams.
  • Provide regular reporting, attend and participate relevant meetings with management and provide feedback as appropriate.
  • Manage ad hoc projects / tasks required to facilitate and improve the overall running of the
  • Department
  • Recruit, train, develop and motivate local teams to ensure high levels of employee engagement
  • Responsible to ensure all processes, systems and SLA’s are strictly adhered to and ensure accuracy and timeliness are met by all teams
  • Responsible for handling escalations in a timely manner and provide solutions and support to managed teams
  • Keep updated with relevant system and company changes in order to pass on knowledge to the rest of the team
  • To set and measure department objectives for the team, supporting and challenging the team with their operational efficiency and productivity
  • Assess strengths and development needs of employees and provide access to timely, clear and objective coaching.
  • Provide active and ongoing support and knowledge transfer to all teams and the Kuoni Tumlare
  • Organisation in sales
  • Planning and development in connection with the strategy given from HQ and in close corporation other local offices and sales
  • Budgeting, cost control, administrative tasks, following up and achieving relevant business KPIs
  • Representing the company at dinners/lunches, on study tours, meet & greet, local travel associations or organizations

Complexity

  • This role is responsible for the management and smooth running of the operations by allocating and monitoring the team workloads on a daily basis. The Country Manager provides an efficient and flexible response to operational issues and ensures service standards and KPI’s are met.
  • The Country Manager defines and reviews team members’ performance by coaching,
  • setting goals, conducting regular one to ones. Additionally, he/she manages and develops talent/succession plans for the present and future needs of the business, addressing opportunities and under-performance appropriately and in a timely fashion
  • Act as a mentor and take responsibility for supporting staff in their career progression, manage own performance and personal development with the ability to set an example through excellent communication skills and evidence of own performance
  • The Country Manager reports directly to the Regional Director North and East Countries and supports in the implementation and execution of the organizational strategy and guiding principles for Operations and Procurement
  • The Country Manager will be responsible for leading the recruitment process within their department

Job Requirements


Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Qualifications


  • Proven experience of operations and knowledge of internal procedures, systems and process management
  • Effective management skills and ability to manage resources across several locations
  • Excellent inter-personal skill and proven ability to build effective relationships at all levels
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills; able to design, prepare, and present resource plans
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and to influence decision makers both internally and externally
  • Ability to lead and embrace change
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, diverse and changing environment
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to interact and influence at all levels
  • Good knowledge of the travel industry and issues
  • Geographic knowledge of CZ would be preferable.
